Handmade Bee is the workshop of Kim Sa Hồng, a Hanoi maker built on one simple belief: that patient handwork — like a bee's — can turn humble, discarded materials into things worth keeping for years.
Our first craft looks forward. We rescue worn-out jeans from waste and redesign them, stitch by stitch, into handbags, fashion clothing, interior décor, and small accessories — keeping fabric out of landfill and turning it back into something useful. It is our small, daily contribution to a green and circular economy.
Our second craft looks back. We keep alive a quiet treasure of old Hanoi: wooden clogs adorned with mother-of-pearl inlay and lacquer, each pair finished by hand in the slow, traditional way. One hand reaches toward tomorrow; the other holds onto heritage.
Our denim line uses no new fabric. Every piece begins with jeans that have already lived a full life elsewhere.
Old denim is cut, sorted by shade, and re-imagined into bags, clothing and décor — useful objects with a long second life ahead.
Buttons, rivets, zippers and even the smallest offcuts are saved and reused. A scrap is simply a part still waiting for its place.
We build things to be kept, not replaced. Durable handwork is the most honest form of sustainability we know.

A weekend's worth of room, sewn from patchworked jeans. Sturdy handles, a wide mouth, the faded blues of a dozen old pairs.

A teardrop backpack pieced from salvaged denim, with a front pocket and padded straps. Light, durable, one of a kind.

A midi dress assembled from denim panels in many washes — a wearable mosaic, no two ever quite the same.

A classic pinafore reborn from old jeans, with practical pockets and adjustable straps. Layer it over anything.

A throw cushion appliquéd with a wide-eyed cat, hand-stitched from denim offcuts. A soft companion for any sofa.
Donated jeans, factory offcuts and end-of-life denim arrive at our Hanoi workshop.
Each piece is graded by shade and quality, then cleaned with gentle, low-impact washing.
Cutters compose each design, mixing washes and weights so every piece has its own character.
Our artisans assemble each product by hand, finishing every seam with care.

Beyond our own collections, Kim Sa Hồng accepts custom and wholesale production. Bring us a sketch, a sample, or simply an idea — we craft it to your specification.
Share a drawing, a reference or a finished sample — we develop it into a production-ready prototype.
Orders welcome at any scale, from boutique runs to large wholesale volume.
Both our recycled-denim work and our lacquered clogs are open for custom commissions.
